The BEST Ranch Sauce

Ranch Dressing – Better Than Restaurant Made!

Ranch dressing is such a fantastic comfort food. You can use it with a huge array of foods from pizza, salads, and of course amazing chicken straight off the BBQ. I am convinced that this ranch dressing is better than anything I have eaten in a restaurant. It is super fresh and made from scratch with ingredients that most of us have in our kitchen cupboards.

The base of the dressing is mayonnaise and full fat sour cream. The sour cream adds a real creaminess to the sauce as well as a tanginess.

  • ½ cup full-fat mayonnaise
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ¼ cup full-fat sour cream
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp dried dill weed
  • ½ tsp dried chives
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

This is so simple to make that even the kids can whip it up in a few minutes. Add the mayonnaise, buttermilk and sour cream to a mixing bowl and give it a good mix. Once mixed, add the herbs and mix again. Cover and refrigerate for three hours ideally.

Want your ranch sauce spicier? Adding Sriracha can add a kick and you can adjust to your tastes. Still not enough? A jalapeno chopped up finely with the seeds removed will do the job.

How Long Will Ranch Dressing Last in the Refrigerator?

This recipe uses sour cream and buttermilk. As long as you keep it always refrigerated then it will stay fresh for two weeks. We would definitely not recommend keeping it any longer than that.
