What do you get when you combine beef (moo) and pork (oink)? Of course, you get moink! These incredibly easy to make balls of goodness bring something completely different to your BBQ game. They are so simple to make that even your children can get involved in the process. I love to take them to tailgate parties as they are very easy to box up and throw in the truck. Lets take a look at the recipe.
They only take about 15 minutes to prepare and just over an hour to cook. The recipe is for 12 moink balls but its easy to double or triple the ingredients depending on the size of your party.

Ingredients:
- 12 Beef Meatballs – You can buy premade or make small balls out of ground beef. Try and get something around 80/20 to make sure there is enough fat.
- 6 Slices Thin Cut Bacon, halved
- BBQ rub – Your Favorite
- BBQ sauce – Your Favorite
Preparation:
Firstly you need to get outside and get the grill up to temperature. You want to bring it up to about 275 degrees.
Whilst the grill is coming up to temperature you can start to prepare the moink balls. If you have bought ready made balls then you are ready to go. If not take the ground beef and roll it into twelve balls. The balls dont need to be too big. About 3-4cm in diameter is perfect.
Take you bacon and wrap each moink ball with a half strip of bacon. Once the ball is complete you should secure the bacon with a toothpick or place the balls on a skewer to keep the bacon in place.
Once all of the balls are made you should generously apply your BBQ rub to all sides of the balls.
You want to smoke these balls initially for about 45 minutes. Half way through the first 45 minutes give the balls a turn to make sure that they are cooked evenly.
Once the 45 minutes have passed open your smoker lid and apply the BBQ sauce to each ball. Get the lid shut again and increase the temperature of your grill to 325 degrees. You want to be getting an internal temperature of 165 degrees which will take approximately 20 minutes.
